 Food Drive! Help Us Out!

The Helping Hand of Oak Point is having a food drive for the Little Elm Area Food Bank starting Nov 15 thru Winterfest Dec 3. The Food Bank is servicing more in our area than ever before and we need to help them out.Boxes will be at the fire station and City Hall, or you can call 972-294-8149 972-294-8149 for pick-up. We also accept money donations. Donations are tax deductable. Receipt provided upon request. Any questions please call 972-294-8149.

Procedures for Submitting Requests to the Emerald Sound Architectural Control Committee

REMEMBER, always be sure to check with the City of Oak Point and/or Denton
County prior to spacerconstructing any structure on your property to ensure that you
acquire permits if and when necessary to avoid violating any city ordinances controlling the placement or size of your structure.

All submissions for alert purposes may be via our online form but must be submitted in writing and then placed in the ACC drop box (currently located @ 711 Pearl Cove) or mailed to:

Requests are time stamped once received by the Emerald Sound Architectural Control Committee.

All requests will be responded to within 30 days by written letter from the date plans are time stamped / received by Emerald Sound Architectural Control Committee representative over seeing the drop box or received by U. S. Mail.


2. Contact the Emerald Sound Architectural Control Committee regarding your request submission:

3. Your request shall contain the following information:

  • Cover letter explaining the scope of your project, (new residence, storage shed, etc.)
  • Name of (Home Owner / Property Owner)
  • Address (current address where you may receive mail)
  • Phone Numbers, both (Day & Evening)
  • Lot # & current street address if applicable to Emerald Sound Properties.
  • Brief description of what your project entails, i.e. description of construction materials being utilized and to include color being used in completion of exterior project.
  • If submitting plans for a New Residence, we require that you state specifically the materials being utilized on outside of residence, i.e. roofing materials (type & color), masonry and or wood product descriptions to include color for exterior of residence.
  • All secondary structures are required to be placed on concrete pad or gravel pad showing no visible gap between subsurface and structure.
  • Official (notarized, copy sufficient) plot plan of Emerald Sound property denoting location of improvements, utilizing at least 2 property lines with measurements to improvement. If plans being submitted are for a new residence, plot must indicate all four sides showing set backs from property lines, observing all easements.
  • Must submit 2 copies of all plans including the plot plan for building a residence, barn, storage building, driveways, ponds, carports, wells, well houses, decks, pools. (i.e. anything altering the outside appearance of your property or residence). One set of plans will be retained for ESPOA's records.
