Update on settlement of Werentz lawsuit and reimbursement of attorneys fees to ESPOA

The Werntzs have agreed to settle this lawsuit for $40,000.  The carrier has approved this settlement.  

To: Mr. DeLaGarza,
The board approves the proposed settlement and believes that it is the right thing to do. Thank you. 
The only issue remaining is the reimbursement of attorney fees paid out by the prior board. 
We would like to have an offer to consider. We will all benefit by getting this behind us.

I will proceed with the settlement then. It is my understanding that the carrier is reviewing the fee 
statements in order to determine the amount that it will reimburse.  Once that has been determined, 
we can discuss this issue further.
